Filip and Adel, who lived in the same suburb of Paris, met Frank at college, and in 1990 they formed a group called To Be Free. The group soon split, but the three were reunited under their new name 2 Be 3 in 1996' Their first single, Partir Un Jour, sold more than 800000 copies, breaking all records for the French charts. Since then they have gone on to sell millions of singles, albums and videos throughout French speaking Europe. The group even starred in their own sitcom Poure Etre Libre ("To Be Free") broadcast during peak time on the main French TV station TF1. The show ran for 40 episodes.
